Jamie Smith, SLP

Jamie grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Minnesota in 2001, and with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2004 from Kean University in Union, NJ. There she completed her externship work at JFK Medical Center in acute care, including the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute for inpatient and outpatient services. Jamie completed additional externship work at Lakeview School for children with developmental and related disabilities. Jamie has been working in the field of speech-language pathology since 2004. In the Orlando area, she has been serving patients and mentoring students since 2006 across acute care, subacute care, home health and pediatric settings. Jamie joined Atlantic Ear Nose and Throat in 2017, as diagnostics and treatment for voice and dysphagia have always been her passion. Jamie is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Florida and holds her certificate of clinical competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Jamie was a previous recipient of ASHA’s ACE award for continuing education. Jamie, her husband and their three children enjoy biking, running races and spending time with family.
